Introducing the Largest Independent TowerCo in Australia

In 2022, Canadian investment group, OMERS acquired 100% of TPG’s mobile towers in Australia. The group sought to position itself as the sole independent player with the necessary critical mass to drive societal progress through ubiquitous coverage. uberbrand was approached to create a new brand identity, and to launch and communicate their advantage

Becoming the preferred Neutral Host Provider

We built a brand that embodies the dynamism of rapid technology adoption, coupled with unwavering expertise, to form the foundation of a new technological era. We based our thinking off the tension that ‘everybody needs to be connected’ and formulated our brand promise: A Connected Future.

‘Waveconn’ speaks to characteristics like: fresh, independent, unencumbered, with ever increasing reach, a new era of possibility.

We developed a brand system that effectively communicated Waveconn’s progressive nature and adaptabilities, with a strong focus on the core sentiment of a ‘Connected Future.’

Our deliverables included a custom wordmark to complement the distinctive new name, and a colour palette that showcased a range of tones. The new system encompassed strategic elements such as positioning, tone of voice, messaging, and guidelines.

The Results

We worked rapidly to deliver an MVP website and communications that would establish the brand in the market, while creating a robust foundation for future offerings.

Through our agile collaboration with OMARS stakeholders, we were able to seamlessly integrate the new visual identity into a flexible digital design system. This system catered to reusability across the website, attracting and engaging a new generation of Waveconn users.
